Keep the Party Jumping: Fun Ways to Get Wedding Guests on the Dance Floor

At DJ Shark Attack, we know the keys to an epic wedding celebration are keeping the energy high and the dance floor packed all night long. As your wedding DJ crew, it's our mission to ensure no guest is left sitting on the sidelines. Here are some of our favorite tips and activities to get everyone up and grooving!

The Courtesy Line Dance: There's no better icebreaker than teaching a line dance that's easy to pick up yet looks super impressive when the whole crew joins in. One of our go-to's is the Cha Cha Slide. The called moves are simple, the beats are fun, and you can switch up the choreography to keep it fresh. Before you know it, aunties, cousins, and grandparents will be throwing shapes like pros.

Throwback Jams: Who can resist paying homage to classic hits from the 80s, 90s, or early 2000s? We'll flip the script from contemporary jams to old school bangers, encouraging guests to show off retro dance moves like the Running Man, Tootsee Roll, or Macarena. The nostalgia factor is bound to get even the shyest wallflowers shakin' their groove things.

Dance Off: Generations Edition: Or we can pit different generations against each other - parents vs. kids, youngbloods vs. the-OGs. Either way, this high-energy dance showdown is guaranteed to bring endless laughter and maybe even a few flossing grandmas.

So don't just warm a seat when you can set fire to the dance floor! Let the DJ Shark Attack squad turn your wedding into an unforgettable night of dancefloor domination.
